| I just read an article on topdressing.biz that I thought would be helpful to contractors who are trying to cost justify topdressing with compost. According to the information a public works manager in Mass. has been topdressing and aerating 40 acres of athletic fields for the past 3 years using Agresoil Compost topdressing. The process is done each fall and he spreads approximately 25 cubic yards per acre in conjunction with his aeration program. He was asked for three benefits of doing this process. His answer was, money, durability and labor. The manager said in 2001 he spent $ 75,000.00 for fertilizers and chemicals, he used 3 million gallons of water and he over seeded 3-4 times per season. Three years later in 2004 fertilizer and chemical expenses dropped to $ 28,000.00 water usage went down to .6 million gallons and he reduced over seeding by two thirds. | Earth & Turf Products LLC will show their new LA-60 Linear Aerator at the Keystone Athletic Field Managers Organization Show, held at the Grantville Pa. Hoilday Inn on February 17th. The show begins at 8:00 am and runs until 2:00 pm. This is a great show for Athletic Directors, Facilty Directors, Grounds and Maintenance Staff and Parks and Recreation Managers. There will be seminars put on by several staff members from Penn State University as well as other professionals in the field of turf management. The Holiday Inn is just 10 miles north east of Harrisburg Pa. just of I-81.

| We just returned from the Golf Industry Show in Atlanta Georgia. We had several Golf Courses ask us about spreading grass clippings with or Multispread topdressers. A number of golf courses pick up the clippings on their fairways and want to spread them in the rough areas. Currently we have several courses using our topdressers to spread clippings. They like the fact that our units are ground drive and can be pulled by their work carts.
