The MultiSpread™ 320 is Earth & Turf’s largest tow behind compost spreader. It’s perfect for spreading compost, sand, topsoil and other topdressing materials
This commercial sized, tow behind compost spreader uses a wide spread beater design for its application system. The Model 320 spreads wet and dry material in various widths, averaging 60″ with most materials. It’s designed to carry 1 cu. yd. of sand, which is just over 1 ton! The Light-Material Sides increase its capacity to 2 cu. yds. (or 54 cu. ft.) for lighter materials but they cannot be used with sand as this would exceed the weight capacity of the machine and would void the warranty.
The MultiSpread 320™ is available in two-wheel ground-drive or hydraulic drive versions. The spreader utilizes a full width belt, even moist materials will be conveyed out the back of the spreader and onto the beater for proper dispersing onto the turf. It is most commonly used to spread compost and other lighter topdressing materials but it does work well to spread sand on golf courses. This is a big brother machine to the MultiSpread 220 topdresser from Earth & Turf.
Standard Features
Ground Drive System
Dual wheel ground drive system runs belt and beaters off wheel speed, allowing consistent spread at various speeds.
Widespread Beater
Our patented “Widespread Beater” is designed to spread a variety of wet or dry materials up to 60 inches wide (152.4 cm).
Adjustable Engage Lever
The engagement lever is adjustable to facilitate ease of use by the operator. Two wing nuts allow the handle to extend for easier reach for a variety of machines.
Full Width Belt
Though we do offer other options (Ag Tread or Rib Tread), the standard turf tire is wide and soft for gentle movement and low compaction on turf surfaces.
Adjustable Tongue
The tongue has five adjustment holes to accommodate a variety of towing vehicles. The hitch pivots to ensure the unit follows the contour of the turf.
Rear Shroud
The rear shroud is adjustable in four different positions to adjust material spread for varying conditions* (Adjustable wing kit optional to control spread width)
Cleanout Ports
Each unit has factory cutouts in the side for easy access while cleaning. These are ideally pressure washed after each day/job of use. Doing so will ensure material does not collect under the belt and roller setup.
Adjustable Endgate
A locked position, adjustable dial controls the spread depth for fine tuned topdressing. This is the spread depth control as the belt is tied to ground speed, it typically allows for up to 1/4" thick spread in one pass.
Optional Features
Light Material Sides
Increase the capacity to just above 1 cu. yd. These are designed for use with lightweight materials such as compost etc. Fully loaded weight should not exceed 2,700 lbs. The sides have an 86″ inside dimension and are ideal when loading with a 7 ft. bucket or smaller.
Wing Kit
The optional wing kit allows operators to control the spread pattern by moving one or both wings inward. Two wing nuts make it easy to adjust in the field for more precision as needed.
Loading Chutes
The optional loading chutes increase the loading width from 73 inches (standard width) to 85 inches. These loading chutes reduce spillage when loading with a tractor or skid steer.
Electric Engage/Disengage Actuator
The 320 is available with a 12V plug and electric actuator for engagement from a cab, or further than an arms reach. This setup is ideal for Side-by-Side utility vehicles and Zero Turn mowers where reaching back is unrealistic for the operator.
Narrow Ag Tires
For a farming, or narrow application with more needed traction, an ag tire set is available instead of wide turf tires. These tires are 6" wide instead of 12" and provide more traction with a narrow footprint.
This machine can be configured (from the factory) with hydraulic motors to run the spreader. Hydraulics run the spreader independent from ground speed, allowing more control. To operate this machine, the towing vehicle needs 2 (oil out and oil return) hydraulic ports, and 5+ GPM flow. This setup is not compatible or usable with the ground drive spreader.
